Time Period for Manaslu trek:
The Manaslu Circuit Trek usually takes around 14-17 days, depending on your route and walking speed. This period includes walking days and additional acclimatization and rest days.
What is allowed?
To hike in the Manaslu region, you will need two permits:
Manaslu Restricted Area Permit (RAP) and Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP). Additionally, you will need a Trekker ‘TIMS’ information management system. map. These permits can be obtained from a registered climbing agency or with the help of a licensed guide.
Difficulty level:
The trek around Manaslu is considered an uphill trek and requires good physical fitness as well as prior walking experience. The path includes uphill and downhill climbs, high altitude passes, and long walks. Altitude sickness can also be a problem, so being well adapted to the climate is essential.

The trip offers breathtaking mountain views, pristine landscapes and the chance to discover the unique culture and traditions of the area. Highlights of the Manaslu Circuit Trek include crossing Larkya La Pass (5,160m), passing through remote villages like Sama Gaon and Samdo, and experiencing the incredible beauty of Manaslu Massif.

Manaslu circuit trek itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
After your arrive in Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal you will transfer to your hotel and take rest. You will attend a trek briefing and prepare for the trek.
Day 2: Kathmandu to Soti Khola (700m)
You will drive from Kathmandu to Soti Khola and enjoy the scenic views of rural Nepal along the way.
Overnight in Soti Khola.
Day 3: Soti Khola to Machha Khola (900m)
We will Trek along the Budi Gandaki River. Passing through terraced fields and picturesque villages we will reach Machha Khola.
Overnight in Machha Khola.
Day 4th: Machha Khola to Jagat (1,410m)
Continue walking along the river.
Cross the suspension bridges and enjoy the changing landscapes.
Overnight in Jagat.
Day 5: From Jagat to Deng (1,804 m)
Hike through beautiful forests and valleys. Pass by traditional villages like Philim and Deng. Overnight in Dang.
6th day: Deng to Namrung (2,630m)
Walk through pine and rhododendron forests. Admire the views of Manaslu and other surrounding peaks.
Overnight in Namrung.
7th day: From Namrung to Samagaon (3,530m)
Hike through alpine forests and beautiful rice terraces. Join the village of Samagaon, with views of Manaslu.
Day 8: Overnight in Samagaon
Adaptation day in Samagaon Take a day off to acclimate. Explore the village, visit the monasteries and see the sights.
Overnight in Samagaon.
9th day: Samagaon to Samdo (3,860m)
Walk to Samdo village, located near the Tibetan border.
Enjoy the beautiful mountain views and learn about Tibetan culture.
Night in Samdo.
10th day: Samdo to Dharamshala/Larkya Phedi (4,460m)
Hike through rough terrain and icy valleys.
Join Dharamsala, the base of Larkya La Pass. Overnight in Dharamshala.
Day 11: Dharamsala to Bimthang (3,720m) via Larkya La Pass (5,160m)
Drive through the challenging Larkya La Pass. Panoramic view of the Himalayas.
Get off at Bimthang.
Overnight in Bimthang.
12th Day: Bimthang to Tilije (2,300m)
Descend through rhododendron forests and stunning scenery. Pass the village of Gho across a river.
Overnight in Tilije.
13th Day: Tilije to Chamje (1,410 m)
Hiking through the forest and rice terraces. Pass charming villages like Dharapani. Overnight in Chamje. From Chame we can continue to Annapurna circuit trek with Tilicho lake if you want to long trek in Annapurna region.
Day 14: Chamje to Besisahar (760m) and drive to Kathmandu
Walk to Besisahar, the starting point of Annapurna Circuit with Tilicho lake. Take a scenic drive back to Kathmandu.
Overnight in Kathmandu.
15th Day: Depart from Kathmandu
Depart from Kathmandu with wonderful memories of the Manaslu Circuit Trek.
